This miniature resource pack contains ideas and inspiration for activities to accompany two monstrous books: Not Now, Bernard by David McKee and Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The suggested age range for this activity pack is approximately 3-6; activities can easily be adapted for more confident readers and writers who may be able to work more independently and younger children may enjoy the activities too. Activities include: – Discussion prompts to facilitate and elicit understanding. – Ideas for PSHE activities to build empathy and emotional awareness. – Writing prompts (parents can scribe). – Art and craft suggestions. – Drama and role play activities. – Parental notes.
